Daisies dotted in the green green lawn

“We’re too tired we’re sleeping in”
Daisies stretch and yawn and grin

Rattle rattle rattle in the garden shed
“wake up wake up your sleepy heads”
Here come kids with a watering can
A shovel and a spade for garden day

Sprinkle says the watering can
Splish splash splish splash drip drop
Dig says the shovel and spade
Muddy mucky mish mosh
Hey! says the leaf rake
Scritch scratch scritch scratch tidy up
No says the gumboots
Puddle muddle stamp stamp stomp

MUDDY MUCKY MISH MOSH
SCRITCH SCRATCH SCRITCH SCRATCH TIDY UP
KIDS ARE IN THE GARDEN, KIDS ARE IN THE GARDEN

Water water water says the garden hose
Trickle and flow, trickle and flow
Dry dry dry says the beaming sun
Shine and glow shine and glow
Chirp chirp buzz say the birds and bees
Can’t catch me, can’t catch me
Grow grow grow say the tiny seeds
Root by root by leaf by leaf

Snip trim neat as a pin
Secateurs are marching
Kitty cat’s watching rein it in
Kids are in the garden, Kids are in the garden

Mower’s coming now to cut the lawn
Turn turn turn the engine on
Stop go the kids out on the lawn
Please save the daisies! they ain’t doin no harm

Sweep says the garden broom
Roll goes the barrow
Fly fly its tidy up time
Kids are in the garden,

Daisies dotted in the green green grass
They can feel the shadows night at last
“We’re so tired we’ve had a great time”
Daisies yawn and wave goodnight

Pitter patter pitter on the garden path
There go the kids inside at last
Tools in the shed are all arranged
Nice and tidy til another garden day.
